Bin 239
Pizza/Wine bar
Prescott, Arizona - 239 N. Marina St. - 928-445-3855 - $$
Here’s a wine bar and pizzeria boasting big-city sophistication and small-town charm in one deliciously accessible package. Thanks to owner Kelly Keller, the global and constantly changing wine list features boutique (and often highly allocated) wines, and thanks to his wife, Karen, the house-made desserts are yummy. Great wood-fired pizza, too. Lunch and dinner M-Sa.
Gurley Street Grill
American
Prescott, Arizona - 230 W. Gurley St. - 928-445-3388 - $$
Once a turn-of-the-century bar and brothel, this renovated building now houses a casual café serving great grilled goodies such as burgers, sandwiches and steaks. Lunch, dinner and late-night snacks daily.
Murphy’s
American/Contemporary American
Prescott, Arizona - 201 N. Cortez St. - 928-445-4044 - $$$
Despite Prescott’s phenomenal growth, Murphy’s (housed in an old mercantile store) is still one of the most popular spots in town. The large menu offers everything from burgers and entrée salads to fresh seafood, steaks and ribs. Save room for signature bread pudding. Lunch and dinner daily.
Sweet Tart
French/Bakery/Sandwiches
Prescott, Arizona - 125 N. Cortez St. - 928-443-8587 - $$
This winsome, wood-floored bakery and café specializes in French pastries, fancy sandwiches and imaginative salads. Excellent quiche, too. Lunch Tu-Sa, dinner Sa (two seatings), brunch Su.
The Rose Restaurant
Continental
Prescott, Arizona - 234 S. Cortez - 928-777-8308 - $$$
Popular with locals and tourists alike, The Rose resides in a lovely old Victorian not far from the square. The quasi-Continental menu covers all bases – pastas, steaks, pork, chicken, veal and seafood – and executes each dish reasonably well. Still, an expensive experience. Hours vary.
