wigwamresort.comThe Grill at the Wigwam holds only a whisper of its cowboy heritage with its wrought iron light fixtures and hardwood floors, but this dining establishment speaks loudly of understated elegance and approachably delicious contemporary American cuisine with a Western flare.
The Grill recently reopened its doors after an extensive renovation that included a new look, a new chef and a new menu. The Grill’s new Chef de Cuisine Dushyant Singh promises an approachable menu that he hopes will wow his guests with each bite.
And who could resist a dish like Arizona Fried Chicken with Butternut Squash Stuffing, Potato Puree and Country Gravy or Goat Cheese Ravioli or even a Flat Iron Steak with Thai Basil Marinade, Fingerling Confit and Tamarind Mushroom Glaze. And Singh plans on changing his menu seasonally. “I think good food is based on the execution of the product – keep the basics in mind. Use the right cooking techniques and show the love and care you have for the food. You don’t want to erase the flavor of a great piece of food,” he says.
And at The Grill there’s always a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. This restaurant boasts stunning views overlooking the 18th hole of the Blue Course from the inside of the restaurant and views of the Blue and Gold golf courses from the restaurant’s patio.
As one of the restaurants at The Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa, The Grill shares a rich Arizona history that began nearly 80 years ago when the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company purchased 16,000 acres of Arizona land to grow cotton for its tires. The first building created on this site was named the Wigwam and has stood ever since. Good sense says The Grill will continue this longstanding tradition – maybe for another 80 years.
