sandbarThe 2015 NFL football season kicks off Thursday, September 10... which means you have exactly 197 hours from this writing to squeeze in another fantasy football league draft. Need a location? Consult this PM hand-selected list of the most FF-friendly bars and restaurants in the Valley. And for Pete's sake, don't take a quarterback in the first round. Only scrubs do that.

1. Sandbar Desert Ridge
A hundred bones (that's less than $10 per player in a standard 12-team league) gets you a personal drafting cabana, customized draft board, 12-person appetizer platter and twin pitchers of beer at this capacious indoor-outdoor North Valley cantina. (And its sister location in Chandler.) That's the standard package. The ultra-lux “Super Bowl Package” ($300) will turn your draft into a veritable draft banquet, with bottle service and a Sandbar-provided “draft board assistant.” Remember: No illegal use of the hands.
7200 W. Ray Rd., Chandler, 480-961-1700; 21001 N. Tatum Blvd., 480-585-5900,

2. Salut Kitchen Bar
Presuming a fantasy football draft to be an all-male affair is chauvinistic and wrong. After all, female fantasy fans enjoy wasting time on the Internet just as much as their male counterparts. And this classy wine haunt in Tempe knows it. Salut's Women's Fantasy Football Draft Party special ($99) offers lady-leagues two bottles of wine and a wide selection of appetizers, along with discount cards good for 15 percent off your bill during the football season. For the record: the program is also offered to wine-loving male football fans. (They exist!)
1435 E. University Dr., Tempe, 480-625-3600,

3. Hazelwoods First Place
Awesome beer specials – like $5 monster steins of Anderson Valley Moose Drool on Thursdays – and dependable Wi-Fi make this Arcadia sports bar a first-rate, no-cost fantasy draft hub. They'll reserve the back room for you, or it's already taken, convert one of the pool tables into a a giant drafting platform for your laptops, plates of wings, steins of Moose Drool, etc.
3626 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix, 602-957-2462,
