Not content to be just a pit stop between Phoenix and Tucson, Casa Grande has been making strides toward becoming a destination in its own right. To wit: three new attractions keeping locals and visitors busy.
A Latte Vino
You know a city is on the upswing when you can swill craft beverages at a local haunt. Find the three dearest to our hearts and stomachs – coffee, wine and beer – at this charming, surprisingly cosmopolitan shop that opened in March 2017. Coffee and wine are its specialties, as its name suggests, but you can also belly up to the bar and enjoy craft beer, small plates, sandwiches, soups, salads and sweets.

Pair one of Casa Grande’s legacy events, the annual Veterans’ Day Parade (established 2007), with one of its newer events, the Concert in the Park series (established 2015), this month. The parade marches along Florence Boulevard on Saturday, November 4, at 10 a.m. On November 17, ‘70s and ‘80s cover band Vinyl’s End plays a free concert at Peart Park from 6-8 p.m. For both events, guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to take in the festivities.

Hiking and Biking at Casa Grande Mountain
Casa Grande may be the largest city in all of Pinal County (full-time resident population: 53,657), but it still boasts some of the best hiking in the area. Casa Grande Mountain Park covers more than 1,000 acres, and the summit of the mountain range is 2,350 feet. The park itself isn’t new, but a slew of new trails has been incorporated into the system since 2010, and the new Adopt-a-Trail program pairs volunteers with trails for beautification and upkeep.
