Valley travel queen Tara Hitchcock gives Celebrity Fight Night Italy attendees the low-down on that country’s Old World charms in this month’s Tara’s Travels. Find her Top 3 list of Italian travel experiences in this outtake extra.

Hiking the Dolomites hut-to-hut. If you love the outdoors and don’t mind sleeping on a wooden cot in a refugio, you will thank me later! A trek though this mountain range in Northern Italy - about an hour-and-a-half of Cortina d’ Ampezzo – is right out of Lord of the Rings, the via ferrata (old wartime climbing routes) are breathtaking and the food is incredible (I have no idea how the Italians transport their fresh pasta thousands of feet up a mountain). Plus, you won’t gain weight as you’ve hiked it all off!

Romancing on the Amalfi Coast. It’s impossible to get into a fight with a loved one when you spend time in a cliffside hotel overlooking the sea on the Amalfi Coast on the Meditteranean side of Italy. Warning: Drink Limoncello after you’ve taken that windy route up to Ravello. Otherwise, you may be pulling over... and it’s not to ask for directions!

Getting lost in Rome. Although I love Venice for about two days, I could last a month in Rome. Everywhere you turn, there’s something amazing to look at or experience. Go find Alessio, a local travel faciliatator! He will help you organize your Italy trip. Tell him “Tara sent you” ... and feel free to name drop Larry Fitzgerald, who’s used him too! or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
