Why limit yourself to one great happy hour? Sip and savor for less at a trio of tasty CityScape spots in the heart of Downtown.
The Arrogant Butcher
2 E. Jefferson St., Phoenix
602-324-8502, foxrc.com

Despite its hubristic handle, The Arrogant Butcher has a cheery staff and warm, inviting ambiance. Snag a spot at the 20-seat zinc bar (happy hour is at the bar only) and dive into a hearty chef’s choice antipasti plate ($8) packed with meats, cheeses, vegetables, bread, house-made spiced mustard and raspberry-cherry marmalade. Or sink your teeth into soft pretzels with provolone fondue ($5), crispy rock shrimp with shishito peppers and spicy aioli ($8), artichoke hummus ($6), or toasts ($4) with toppings like boursin cheese and roasted peppers. Well drinks, select wines and select cocktails are $4, 12-ounce mugs of Sierra Nevada or Guinness cost $4, local brew drafts go for $3, Bud Light is $2, and shot-and-a-beer specials are $6. 3-6 p.m. M-Sa

Copper Blues

Copper Blues Rock Pub & Kitchen
50 W. Jefferson St., Phoenix
480-719-5005, copperblueslive.com

With an alfresco dining area overlooking Downtown, energetic Copper Blues is a great place to limber up before a comedy show at adjacent Stand Up Live. Same goes for D-backs and Suns games – or you can stay put and watch them on the big screens. Better yet: All 60-plus beers on tap are on special during happy hour. Drink deals include beer shots ($1), house wines ($2), domestic and local pints ($3), craft and import drafts ($4), call cocktails ($5), “rocktails” (beer cocktails, $6) and “rocktinis” (specialty martinis, $7). The kitchen kicks out the jams, too – top picks are house-made chips with French onion dip ($4), insanely addictive pub chips with melted blue cheese and hot sauce ($5), pretzel sticks with silky cheddar beer sauce ($6) and impressive pizzas like spinach, artichoke and parmesan. 4-7 p.m. M-F
