Like its sister restaurant, the adjacent Living Room, The Sushi Room offers subdued elegance with visual dazzle – we still can’t get over the living wall art, cherry blossom sculpture or eye-popping aquarium. (The misted patio isn’t bad, either.) Start with one of their many $5 specialty cocktails; the berry or blood orange martini can’t be beat, and the list includes both a classic or watermelon margarita, four mojitos and three skinny cocktails. The deals keep coming with hot sake ($2), drafts and wells ($3) and sake bombers ($4). Wines by the glass (17 of them!) and sangria are $5. Menu items cost $5, and the best bets are butterfish nigiri, spicy crab maki, crunchy rolls and chicken egg rolls. Food specials, 3-6 p.m. daily; drink specials, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. daily.
